A shared clipboard works between projects.
Having copied actions from one project, you can go to the tab of another project and paste them in the necessary place.
- The following logic of numbering and names of actions works when pasting them into another project:The names of the pasted actions in the new project remain the same as they were in the original project.
- In the new project, the inserted actions will be assigned numbers depending on the actions that have already been set in the new project. That is, the numbers that the copied actions had in the original project can be changed in the new project.
- If there is no action with the same name as the copied action in the new project, the action will be assigned the number 1.
- If several actions with the same name were copied under the same conditions, they will be assigned numbers 1, 2, 3, etc. when pasted according to the order in which they were arranged in the original project.
- If a new project has an action(s) with the same name as the copied one, the numbering of this action will depend on the following conditions:
- In the new project, actions with the same name are numbered directly, i.e. there are no missing numbers from the 1st to the highest number. Result: the inserted actions with the same name are assigned the following numbers in the order in which these actions were arranged in the source project.
- In the new project, actions with the same name are not numbered directly, i.e. there are missing numbers from the 1st to the highest number. First, the first inserted actions with the same name will be assigned the numbers that are missing from the "old" actions of the project - in the order in which these actions were arranged in the source project. If there are still some actions among the copied ones that "lacked" the missing numbers, they will be assigned the following numbers, starting from the highest number among the "old actions".
- When inserting, actions with different names are numbered separately. The names must be case-sensitive, i.e. 2 actions with the names "Test" and "test" will be considered as different actions.
Cutting action(s) from one project and pasting it into another project in terms of name and numbering works with the same logic is described above.
