Catalogs page

The Catalogs page is intended for displaying and creating catalogs that the user needs to work with.

Selecting the Catalogs page (1) in the Activities block will display a list of catalogs available for the user to work with.

The Catalogs page is shown below.

At the top left above the Columns dropdown list is the Create catalog button (2), see Creating a new catalog for details

The main part of the page is occupied by columns (4) with the headings: ID, Name, Description, Author, Editor, Creation date, Modification date, Structure. 

The Columns dropdown list (3) allows you to select the columns to be displayed in the table from the available columns, while the ID and Name columns are always displayed.

Columns (4) Name, Creation date, Modification date, Structure can be sorted .

On the right is the Action menu (6) with a button for deleting catalogs (see Deleting a catalog for details).

Below the table on the right side there is a page numbering and a dropdown list (7), by means of which the User can select the number of displayed rows, for example, 50, and after that the possibility of vertical scrolling of the page will appear.  

In the upper right corner is the catalog search bar (5). 

The search is performed by the first entered characters. The search bar contains the text you are searching for.

Working with the Catalogs page

Create catalog button

Clicking on the Create catalog button opens the Create catalog modal window, which contains:

1.Catalog name

Name of the catalog with a note on mandatory completion

2.Description

Input field for catalog description. The maximum text length is 500 characters

To cancel the creation of a new catalog

To confirm the creation of a new catalog

Table with the list of catalogs

The table displays all catalogs that have been added to the current tab. If there are no catalogs in the tab, the message appears: 

Here you can create catalogs and store useful data.

If a catalog is not found in the current tenant (it was deleted by a user, the table has not been updated by other users), then when going to the catalog card, the card will not open, a warning message appears:

Error while working with the catalog. The catalog is not found.

By default, the table entries are sorted alphabetically by catalog name.

The Catalogs table contains the following columns and buttons:

The catalog identifier is displayed

2.Name

The column displays: 

  • Catalog name
  • Clicking on the name opens the catalog data card, where the user can create/modify catalog records depending on the user's role


3.Description

The catalog description text that is specified in the catalog card is displayed  

Only the first line of text that fits in the table cell is displayed (depends on the column width). The rest of the description is displayed in a tooltip when you hover over a table cell

Limit the number of characters - 500

5.AuthorName of the user who created the catalog


6.Editor

ame of the user who last edited the catalog

The first value is created at the same time as the catalog is created and the name of the editor matches the name of the author



7.Creation dateDate/time when the catalog was created in the format: dd <short name of the month>. yyyy hh:mm:ss

8.Modification date
  • Date/time of last changes in cards:
    • catalog structure - name, catalog description, adding/modifying attributes
    • catalog data - adding/modifying catalog records
  • The first value is created at the same time as the catalog is created, and the creation date is the same as the change date
  • Date is presented in the format: dd <short name of the month>. yyyy hh:mm:ss

9.Structure

The column contains values:

Yes - the catalog has at least one attribute
No - there are no attributes in the catalog card

The link opens the catalog card, where the user can change the name and description of the catalog, add/modify its structure depending on the user's role.

 

10.Action menu (6)

Contains a Delete button for interacting with catalogs
