The "Close" action does not involve saving the file, so it should be used in conjunction with the "Save" action. 

Example of use

Task

There is an Excel document. You need to open it, get sheet names from the document and close it.

Solution

Use the actions "Open", "Get sheet names", "Close". 

Implementation

1. Assemble a robot scheme consisting of actions:
   
2. Set the parameters for the "Open" action.
   
3. Set the parameters for the "Get sheet names" action.
   
4. Set the parameter for the "Close" action. 
   
5. Click on the "Start" button in the top panel. 

Result

The program robot completed successfully. The document is closed.
