Description

This action is intended to extract text from a file.

If the input is an archive of files, they will be merged into one text.

Example of use 

Task

There is a Word document from which you want to extract text to a variable of type "String" 

Solution

Use the "To text" action. 

Implementation 

1. Move the "To text" action to the workspace. 
2. Create a variable "Text" with type "String". 

      3. In the "File" parameter specify the path to the file from which you want to extract the text. In the result of the action specify the created string variable "Text". 

4. Click "Start" in the top panel. 

Result

The program robot completed successfully.

Text from the specified file has been extracted into a text variable.
